With the Takamine TH90 Hirade concert guitar, the Japanese manufacturer Takamine presents the flagship of its Classics series, whose construction can be traced back to the models of the famous guitar maker Mass Hirade. The instrument is also equipped with the best tonewoods and high-quality Hardware, so that the sound is reproduced both acoustically and electrically very balanced and defined. A sturdy case is included in the delivery.
 
Construction and woods
Due to its solid construction consisting of a spruce top and a rosewood body, the classical guitar produces warm and powerful tones, which develop clearly and dominantly, especially in the mid and treble frequencies. At the same time, the flat mahogany neck in combination with a generous cutaway guarantees optimal access to all 19 frets, which are set into an ebony fingerboard.
 
Hardware and Design
Golden classical tuners allow precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings and give the instrument a very noble touch. Especially the eye-catching soundhole provides a unique recognition value and is additionally brought to the fore by an elaborate soundhole rosette. Fine multi-ply bindings and inlays border the top wood, whose grain is accentuated in a very tasteful way by the gauzy high-gloss finish.
 
Electronics
To amplify the acoustic sound of the Takamine TH90 Hirade, the Takamine CTP3 CoolTube pickup system is built into the body. The system is equipped with a 12AU7 tube, which enriches the sound with a very warm note. A 3-band equalizer allows individual adjustment of the output signal, the volume of which can be controlled via a volume control. In addition, the Preamp is equipped with a tuner and other functions.
