For the highly practical design of the StingRay HT, the Music Man Luthiers rely on an alder body whose subtle offset design promises optimal balance on the strap and thigh. With its silky oil-wax finish, the five-bolt neck made of roasted maple with particularly intense grain offers a distinctly pleasant feel, so that in conjunction with the sculpted-neck joint and the C-neck profile, unhindered playability is guaranteed. In addition, 22 hard stainless steel frets in "High Profile, Medium Width" format promise smooth bendings on the roasted maple fingerboard.
Heat Treated Pickups and Active Preamp
The absolute highlight of the StingRay HT Guitar is without a doubt the innovative Heat Treated pickups in neck and bridge position. Thanks to the careful heat treatment, the Music Man HT humbuckers with closed caps not only boast a high Output and a broadband sound that harmoniously combines powerful lows and an extended treble spectrum, but also excellent dynamics that allow sensitive control over the tone with the help of the playing technique. In addition, Music Man equips the StingRay HT guitar with an active Custom preamp that provides up to 20 dB of gain boost via the push/push function of the volume control.
