Ibanez JS1000 electric guitar in Black Pearl finish. Built in Japan in 2003 this guitar features a Basswood body, a Maple neck, a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, Gotoh SG381 machine heads, along with a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers, wired to master volume/tone controls, a 3-way toggle switch, a push/pull coil split and a push/pull high pass filter. The DiMarzio humbuckers sound thick and full, with a solid low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with a clear, cutting top end. The push/pull pots give excellent tonal variations, offering single coil voicings, along with the high pass filter really helping focus the tone, great for helping solos stand out.
