The American Ultra series is fender's most advanced guitars to date. The ultra series takes the classic design and adds a modern style of specification. These added features include:
 
	
2 ultra noiseless vintage tele single-coil pickups with an S1 switch that allows for Series and parallel switching.
	
Modern 'D' shaped neck with ultra satin finish.
	
10"-14" compound radius fretboard.
	
22 medium jumbo frets.
	
Tapered neck heel and enhanced body contoures.
 
The finish deceptively looks black but is actually a colour called "Texas Tea". Held at certain angles you can see a dark metallic Copperish green colour. See last picture for an example of the finish.
